Burlington is such an active community for folks old and young. Much of the reason why is the dedication and planning done by one of Burlington’s amazing organizations, Burlington Parks & Recreation.
From fishing derbies for families to summer concert series in the park, truck days in autumn and spooky activities for the kids on Halloween, it seems like Burlington is always up to something!
Oh, So Much Fun!
There are so many options to get involved in the community and help you get to know your neighbors, allow children to grow and learn and connect you to nature in our beautiful town.
Some of the fun activities planned annually include the Spring Easter Hunt held every year right before Easter weekend, the Family Fishing Derby held in May, the summer concert series on the Town Common held every Tuesday and Thursday every week during the summer, Municipal Truck Day and Trucktober held in the fall and of course holiday events such as the Halloween Spooktacular, Turkey Trot and Holiday Lights.
In addition to these fun annual events, there are special events throughout the year such as the Special Someone Soiree in February around Valentine’s Day, the Sneaker Prom and Community Yard Sale in April, Springapalooza in May, the Great Family Campout and Regional track meet in June, tennis tournament in July, a Fitness Festival in the Fall and Gingerbread Men Making during the holidays. Don’t forget “Celebrate Burlington Day” which boasts a carnival, car show, concert and fireworks!
All of these special events and annual community events are just the tip of the iceberg as Burlington Parks and Recreation also manages so much of the community programming such as the sports, fitness and crafts programming. How Burlington Businesses Can Get Involved
All of these events and programs don’t happen out of thin air and it is only possible with the help of the community and the amazing businesses that call Burlington home. Your business could gain valuable exposure, contribute to the community in a meaningful way and have your brand seen by hundreds of community members.
Getting involved and supporting these events is easy. To become a sponsor of one or more of these events contact Burlington Parks and Recreation. Single event sponsorships vary per event so contact the Rec for more details.
One of the largest single-day events is the Celebrate Burlington Event! This event ties together a carnival, car show, concert and fireworks to end the evening. There are several levels at which your business could donate or choose sponsorship to this special event. A sponsorship of $750 makes your business a contributor and those who commit to over $6000 are considered Platinum sponsors. Here is a breakdown of levels of contribution.
- Contributors up to $750
- Bronze – $750+
- Silver – $1500+
- Gold – $3000+
