Nordblom’s proposed redevelopment at 129-131 Middlesex Turnpike is moving into the next step of local review.

The redevelopment project will be a 188-unit multifamily community across from 3rd Ave. The project was approved by Town Meeting in 2025 and is now scheduled to be presented to the Planning Board on May 7th.

This project is an example of how Burlington is adapting over time. The housing is part of a longer-term vision for the 3rd Ave area with stronger pedestrian connections between Middlesex Turnpike, Great Meadow Road, and the 3rd Ave area.

Projects like this can help strengthen the mix of uses that help commercial districts stay active and resilient.
