What does “mixed-use” mean? 🏙️

You might hear this term a lot when we talk about development in Burlington, but what does it actually mean?

Mixed-use simply means combining different types of spaces in one place, like housing, restaurants, shops, and offices, all within the same building or area.
Instead of driving from place to place, mixed-use developments make it easier to:

Grab a meal
Run errands
Get to work
Spend time in the community

All in one spot.

For Burlington, this kind of development helps create more vibrant, walkable areas while supporting local businesses and making the most of existing space.

What do you think? Would you want more places in town where you can live, work, and spend time all in one area?
