Like many New Englanders, we are anxiously anticipating some of the earliest signs of spring –  flowers breaking through the ground, hearing the birds chirp as the warmer, longer days arrive, and preparing for all the fun events and activities around Burlington, Massachusetts. 

Early spring can be a time of transition, especially if you love being active or have a family that enjoys activities and events with friends. Burlington has your back with fun indoor activities to keep not only the kids entertained but the adults happy, too. Here are just a few of the Burlington-area events and activities scheduled for March and April.

Characters Come to Life: Superheroes! 

Join Burlington Parks and Recreation on March 21, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm to experience your favorite superheroes as they fly in for a visit. Register at Burlington Rec to experience superhero meet-and-greets, activities and a live performance at Grandview Farm.  

Gunstock Mountain Ski Trip 

Can’t get enough of the slopes and don’t want to say goodbye to winter quite yet? If you have a child in grades 8 through 12, you can take advantage of this Burlington Rec ski trip to Gunstock Mountain on Thursday March, 19, 2026, from 7:30 am to 5 pm. The fee includes transportation, lift tickets and supervision by the Burlington Rec crew. 

Burlington Rec Trips: Viva Las Elvis 

See the “King” live in concert during Burlington Rec Trips and Tours. Register in advance to take part in this April 16, 2026, trip to Castleton Banquet Center in Windham, New Hampshire, where you will experience an undeniably realistic Elvis impersonator featuring the Memphis Sun Mafia band.

Strike Up Some Fun Bowling 

Staying entertained in the early weeks of spring can be tricky with the weather not always cooperative. Thankfully, Kings Bowling and Entertainment in Burlington offers a multifaceted entertainment experience that includes bowling, billiards, and arcade games. Once you’ve worked up an appetite and tuckered the kids out, enjoy a delicious meal to satisfy their taste buds, too! 

Lace Up Your Skates at Burlington Ice Palace

Haven’t had enough winter quite yet or want to perfect those new skills you learned this winter? Head to the Burlington Ice Palace for open skate, where you can enjoy some ice skating adventures with family and friends. 

Your Community Hub: Events at the Burlington Library

Burlington’s Public Library offers a wide assortment of activities, clubs and events for children, teens and adults. 

The Burlington Library is a hub of youth activity. Teens can look forward to after-hours events, complete with games, a coin scavenger hunt, pizza, and drinks, as well as the Teen Writer’s Meet Up for budding authors. Young adults are also invited to take on the popular Escape Room experience. Younger children can register for programs like craft sessions, story hours, Pokémon Club, music programs, and the Family Winter Olympics.
