For Archer Hotel, Burlington wasn’t just a pin to place on the map.

The town offered the right mix for business: access to both the Salem and Boston markets, a place along a major corporate and technology corridor, and a community with plenty happening beyond the workday, from dining and retail to entertainment and so much more.

Then, there was the 3rd Ave of it all.

“Burlington’s energy is what initially drew us in,” said Robin Hutton, Area Director of Sales for Archer Hotel. “But what sealed it was 3rd Ave itself.”

Hutton calls 3rd Ave Burlington’s “walkable heart,” where hotel guests can step outside and find dining, shopping and Wegmans just a few steps away.

“That’s the kind of built-in energy that makes it feel like a neighborhood, not just a location,” she said.

Today, Archer isn’t just surrounded by that neighborhood. It has become an essential part of it. The independent boutique hotel combines an industrial-chic style and curated local art with plenty of thoughtful touches meant to make a stay feel personal.

“We believe the little things add up fast,” Hutton said.

In the guest rooms, that means Nespresso coffee, Frette robes, playful slippers, bedside reading and water and caramels waiting upon arrival. Elsewhere in the hotel, guests have access to an immaculate indoor pool, spacious fitness studio and flexible gathering spaces.

But some of what Archer offers Burlington doesn’t require a room key at all.

Room Key Optional

Downstairs, the Archer’s restaurant and bar, AKB, gives Burlington residents their own reason to stop in. AKB features a locally inspired, shareable menu led by Executive Chef Hunter Miller, along with cocktails, an illy coffee program, a billiards table and an outdoor patio with a fire pit.

Communal tables can be reserved for groups, or you can find a spot by the bar for a more low-key evening.

It makes Archer a little different from other hotels in the area.

A Front-Row Seat to 3rd Ave

Archer’s location also means the hotel feels it when something new brings people to the area. In June, Burlington’s Economic Development Office partnered with Tony C’s on the Watch the World initiative, bringing FIFA Club World Cup matches onto the big screen.

Hutton said Archer saw demand during FIFA tournaments and a lively atmosphere surrounding the event.

“It was nice to see the area filled with exciting vibes for the event,” she said. “The market felt good.”

That’s part of the idea behind bringing events like Watch the World to Burlington’s business districts. Someone might come to watch a match, then stay for dinner, stop for a drink or visit another business nearby.

Beyond the Overnight Stay

Archer’s ties to the local business community continue throughout the year.

The hotel works with area companies, chambers of commerce and local organizations to host corporate meetings, social receptions, holiday parties and group room blocks.

Hutton describes Archer as a “trusted extension of the community rather than just a venue.”

It’s a fitting description for a hotel whose role often begins with bringing people to Burlington, but doesn’t necessarily end there.

Those visitors don’t just stay at Archer. Their time in Burlington extends beyond the hotel. And for the community, Archer has become part of that same local landscape, serving as a space Burlington businesses and residents use for everything from meetings to milestone celebrations.

At Home in Burlington

Archer may welcome guests from near and far, but it has also found a special place within the Burlington community.

“We’re proud to be part of the neighborhood fabric,” Hutton said.

Because you don’t have to be visiting Burlington to experience Archer. Sometimes, the best stay is right where you live. For more information on the Archer Hotel, visit their website.
