Celebrate the Holidays in Burlington

December 1, 2023

From the moment the Thanksgiving feast is over until we ring in the New Year, many of us spend the days and weeks in between celebrating the holidays. Christmas strolls, music, visiting Santa and shopping are just a few ways to celebrate the spirit of the season.

Here in Burlington, we have some fantastic locations to dine and shop this season as well as plenty of community events that are sure to please residents of all ages. It is the perfect combination of cheerful places to dine, visit and play as well as the hometown feeling of spending the holidays with friends and family.

Here are a few of the special events that you may enjoy this holiday season.

Burlington Tree Lighting

If you enjoy the twinkle of holiday lights and the smell of pine boughs as you enjoy a cup of cocoa, you don’t want to miss this traditional event.

Join us on December 3, 2023, at 4 p.m. on Burlington Common to observe the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony. Join neighbors, friends and family for the 50th Tree Lighting sponsored by the School of Rock and Northeastern University. Along with seeing our beautiful tree come aglow, join in the fun with live entertainment, fireworks and a special visit from the big guy himself – Santa!

Visits with Santa

No holiday season is complete without a visit to jolly old Saint Nick. Children have many opportunities to talk and visit with Santa this year at the Tree Lighting and at the Burlington Mall.

Book a time slot for your child or the whole family with Santa at the Burlington Mall and make a memory you won’t soon forget. Don’t forget there are special sessions for your fur friends to sit with Santa as well.

There are also opportunities for a picture with Santa for Baby’s First Christmas on Wednesdays December 5 & 12 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Santa’s Winter Wonderlights.

In addition to these special events, check out the offerings at Grand View Farm and Wayside as they are always adding new events.
