At the end of a long, productive workday, sometimes you just want to unwind over a few drinks (with and without alcohol, of course) with your closest friends and coworkers.
Luckily, in addition to the many wonderful benefits of working in Burlington, MA, there are plenty of places in town to grab a few drinks with your work buddies. And maybe even catch that evening’s big game. So, today, let’s keep things simple and talk about just a few of our favorite spots to grab an after-work drink or bite.
1. Tavern In The Square (100 District Ave)
A Massachusetts favorite, Tavern in the Square has a little something for everyone. Typically open from lunch to dinner to late-night bites, so the restaurant is available whenever “after-work” takes place for you.
On the menu, you’ll find snack-sized bites perfect for sharing, personal bowls, burgers, all your favorite appetizers, greens, and much more. Tavern’s drink menu includes crack cocktails, spiked seltzers, drink towers, and an extensive selection of local and national craft beers and wine.
2. The Yard House (108 Middlesex Turnpike)
The Yard House, located right across from the Burlington Mall, features over 100 American-style dishes, including the “world’s largest selection of craft beer with 130 taps.”
So, when it comes to choosing an after-work hangout spot, the Yard House should definitely top your list. The restaurant also features a fantastic selection of non-alcoholic beverages. And be sure to try and get there from 3-6 pm on weekdays for their Happy Hour featuring ½ off select appetizers and pizzas.
3. Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill (17 3rd Ave)
Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill isn’t only a great place to grab after-work drinks or bites, it’s also one of the best sports bars in Burlington to catch the game. Inside the restaurant, you’ll find the JUMBO wall–four 14-foot screens that will “make you feel as if you are at the game.”
The restaurant’s menu includes all your favorite pub-style appetizers and dishes, perfect for sharing. In addition, Tony C’s offers an impressive selection of 40 local, national, and international craft beers on tap to choose from.
4. Row 34 (300 District Avenue)
If you’re seeking an upscale after-work meetup complete with cocktails and delicious oysters, look no further than Row 34. For food, the restaurant offers a lunch, dinner, and raw bar menu. The lunch and dinner menus both feature land and sea fare, so there’s something for everyone.
The large beer selection includes both brews on tap and bottled, featuring beers from the local breweries and around the country. Row 34 also offers an impressive craft cocktail menu alongside an extensive selection of white, red, pink, and sparkling wines.
5. Seasons 52 (6 Wayside Rd U)
Seasons 52 is a fresh grill and wine bar that changes its menu seasonally, always giving you a reason to come back and see what they’re currently offering at any given time. Dishes off their menu feature 100% fresh produce and oak and brick-fired cooking styles “without a fryer in sight.”
Seasons 52 also features an extensive wine and craft cocktail menu, featuring 52 seasonal wines by the glass (see what they did there).
