When most people think of an art gallery, they envision a building, often in a city or larger municipality, that curates art from many artists, including paintings, sculptures and other media for patrons to view and interact with. These spaces are sometimes not accessible to guests who cannot afford the entrance fees or have limited transportation to the gallery.
Burlington, Massachusetts, is rethinking the concept of a traditional art gallery and expanding the artistic movement in town with the introduction of the Burlington Micro Gallery, housed in a stunningly refurbished mobile trailer that will be free and accessible to all.
Join us in welcoming Burlington’s newest member of the art community – the Burlington Micro Gallery.
Burlington has been broadening its cultural landscape with more options for residents and visitors alike who love art, music and cultural events. In recent years, Melisa Tintocalis, The Town’s Director of Economic Development has secured state funding to implement recommendations in the Comprehensive Master Plan related to placemaking and enhancing the Town Center’s vibrancy. Her team has brought the Burlington community the Beer Garden series and will now provide this opportunity for the town. These events serve as a community gathering point, draw people to local small businesses, and provide access to live music throughout the fall. Melisa sees this opportunity to spark public curiosity and celebrate creativity.
Burlington’s Micro Gallery is a pop-up art gallery housed in a refurbished trailer that has been reimagined for this purpose. The renovated space features large windows and a beautiful interior that will soon be home to art from a diverse array of local and regional artists. The gallery is also fully solar-powered.
Throughout the season, rotating art exhibits will feature paintings, sculptures, photography, fiber arts, and interactive art installations. Additionally, the Gallery will make appearances at Burlington town events, gathering places, and parks. A schedule will be announced soon, but be on the lookout for the Micro Gallery to be available at the local favorites like the Burlington Mall, 3rd Avenue and at local parks across Burlington.
The goal of the Burlington Micro Gallery is to provide an accessible art experience for residents and visitors who may not have access to other art galleries in the region due to financial or transportation constraints. Ultimately, the inspiration of this free art gallery is to make art accessible to all.
This addition to Burlington’s creative economy will help boost foot traffic to the Town Common during gallery exhibits, as well as when the pop-up gallery is located in other key areas throughout town.
Working with local and regional vendors, such as contractors, solar installers, and sign makers, helped bring this project together in a first-of-its-kind pop-up mobile art gallery. A special thank you to Andrew Magera of Modern Edge Contracting for helping the gallery vision come to life, LLC, Vasu Patel of Fast Signs for creating our beautiful signage, Jesse Graver of Graver Electric for installation of the solar panels, and Burlington Department of Public Works for this guidance and future hauling of the gallery to event locations. This project would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of all involved.

Burlington is also pleased to announce the local artist who will manage the Micro Gallery during its inaugural season – Catherine LeComte Lecce.
Catherine is a Burlington-based artist who serves as the Curator and Program Manager at the Photographic Resource Center in Boston. She received her Master of Fine Arts in 2023 from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Massachusetts, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014 from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. Her work has been exhibited across Boston and beyond, including a two-person exhibition, Reflections: Selfhood/Motherhood, at The Umbrella Arts Center, where she served as the 2024 Winter/Spring Artist-in-Residence. One of her recent honors includes the 2025 Creative Entrepreneurship Fellowship from the Greater Boston Arts and Business Council and receiving the 2025 Mass Cultural Council Grant for Creative Individuals.
Catherine encourages residents to feel welcome to visit the Micro Gallery wherever it “pops up” during its pilot season. She hopes children and adults alike will be curious, engaged and have fun with this newest installment of art and culture in Burlington.
🎉 Join us at the gallery on Sunday, November 30th from 2–4 PM for Anis Beigzadeh’s artist reception! Anis will be leading a live weaving demonstration where guests are invited to participate and assist in threading two of her ceramic pieces.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Fogo de Chão for sponsoring the food for the reception, and to the Burlington Mall team for their continued support.

🎉 Announcing our next show! 🎉
Anis Beigzadeh (@anis.beigzadeh) is an interdisciplinary artist from Iran, currently living in Massachusetts.
She received a BFA in Painting from Bahonar University and MFA in Ceramics from UMass Dartmouth. She has long drawn inspiration from the intricate patterns and colors of her cultural heritage, which she now translates onto the surfaces and forms of her hybrid creations. Working with clay allows her to find a meditative practice with which to tell stories about home, culture, and identity. Her Persian background and experiences in art-making fuel her ambition to make a meaningful mark on the art world.
The gallery is currently located at the Burlington Mall! Thank you so much to @burlingtonmallma for hosting our gallery!

“I am contemporary artist established in my hometown of Boston. My journey led me to pursue a BFA in Painting at Texas Christian University and an MAT from the Rhode Island School of Design. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to explore artistic realms in places like the enchanting Florence, Italy.
Teaching art has been a profound part of my journey, guiding both young minds and adults in various public and private schools. Each interaction has enriched my understanding of the creative process.
Currently, my heart and soul are poured into a series of abstract paintings. I’m captivated by the raw power of saturated colors, using them as a medium to convey intense emotions. It’s a journey that continues to unfold, offering new discoveries with every stroke of the brush.”
🎉 We had a great night this past Thursday celebrating the artists in our current show alongside the town’s final beer garden of the year!
The current exhibition will be coming to a close soon, but another one is already in the works — and the gallery will be moving to a new location! More details will be shared soon.
