Town Center Placemaking Playbook

Placemaking refers to a collaborative process focused on activities, events and temporary installations that support civic engagement and boost business activity in an area – our goal is to bring our community together in fun & meaningful ways.

The Town was awarded a Massachusetts Downtown Initiative Award for $25,000 to create a “placemaking playbook” for the Town Center business district. We contracted with Emily Innes of Innes Designs to conduct the analysis and outline ideas appropriate for our Town Center.

A community and business survey was conducted December 2020 – January 2021 with over 520 respondents.

The final presentation was held on April 28, 2021
