Burlington Business Visit – Used Book Superstore

Burlington’s Used Book Superstore

Burlington Town Center is home to the Used Book Superstore located at 256 Cambridge Street.

Owner, Bob Ticehurst has operated the store for the past fourteen years.  In 2000, Bob began his business by selling books out of his parent’s basement.  As demand increased, he quickly outgrew the space and opened Charity Book Store in North Reading.  The store was open 3 days a week – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  With a line always out the door, customers purchased books for $1.00 each and 50% of the profits went to local nonprofits.  Bob was again looking to expand and chose the 256 Cambridge Street building for his next opportunity.

Bob is a Marine Corps Veteran and has always supported Veteran’s initiatives.  He also partners with the Burlington Fire Department by collecting and donating toys for the Boston Medical Pediatric Center.
